A Journey in Review, Post 51: Stop Comparing

Another surprising thing for me was the serenity I found when I released the need to control and made peace with simply showing up for whatever the day would bring.
Allow yourself to float from joy to sorrow, or just stand in a bittersweet swirl of all the big emotions.
You have choices. You can’t avoid regrets, but some regrets are harder to carry. Be mindful as you choose.
I can’t say this strongly enough. On this journey, the ship is littered with all the things that will trip you up: anger, disappointment, despair, and helplessness. It’s important to mindfully find your anchor: acts, objects, people, or whatever brings you peace if not comfort, ease if not relief.
