A Journey in Review, Post 48: Choices and Regrets

And you might ask yourself, “Why am I here?”
I might answer, “To protect them.”
I can’t say this strongly enough. On this journey, the ship is littered with all the things that will trip you up: anger, disappointment, despair, and helplessness. It’s important to mindfully find your anchor: acts, objects, people, or whatever brings you peace if not comfort, ease if not relief.
This is an unbearable journey that we bear because we must.
I could have done better; I could have been still more, but even in my imperfect efforts to find the quiet, to be still, I received gifts of stillness.
