It’s the small things.
A walk through mom’s gardens and dew-soaked fields. Day lilies, daisies, wild thyme, and sunshine. This is exactly as I would have chosen to start this day, which happens to be Mother’s Day.
My parents’ dew-soaked fields
While my mom was at church, my daughter arranged a bouquet of garden daisies, flowers, and eucalyptus along with wild grasses, flowers, and weed. I plated lunch for my parents. My children and I couldn’t be with mom today due to work schedules. We celebrated early yesterday, and today left celebratory gestures before we headed home.

Lifting up all moms and mothering women. Holding close all children. Have a beautiful day.
